Japan to host ‘Beautiful Iran’ exhibition

Iran’s embassy in Tokyo has been set to hold an exhibition on Iranian handicrafts, natural and cultural heritages, and documentaries on the sidelines of the Olympics in Japan.

The exhibition dubbed ‘Beautiful Iran’ will be held in the Iranian embassy on July 27-August 6.

The fair will open in the presence of senior sports officials from Iran, the President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Thomas Bach, and the head of the Japanese Olympic Committee.

During the inauguration ceremony, the Tokyo Olympics tableau rug, which is designed and woven by Iranian artists, will be unveiled.

The 2020 Summer Olympics, originally scheduled to take place on July 24-August 9, 2020, was postponed to the summer of 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sixty-six Iranian athletes are set to take part in the games this year.
